2008 Topps Retail Relics Lance Berkman

In honor of Berkman hitting his first homerun with the Yankees tonight.  I think he'll be on another team next year.  I just get the impression he wants to play first base, just not DH all the time.  2008 Topps Retail Relics #LB Lance Berkman jersey card with pinstripe and still in the original wrapper.

1970 Topps #580 Pete Rose

Not really too much to say about this card.  Not a bad looking card for how old it is.  Got this one in a trade on Sports Card Forum website.  Great place to trade and get information about the hobby.  Hopefully one day Rose will be in the Baseball Hall of Fame.  1970 Topps #580 Pete Rose.

2009 Topps Sterling Career Chronicles Relics Triple Dale Murphy

It's been a while since I got a card that I was super excited about.  Dale Murphy (or The Murph) of the Atlanta Braves was the first player I started collecting back in the 80's when I was a kid.  I hope one day he will make the Baseball Hall of Fame but right now I'm just not sure he will get the votes.  2009 Topps Sterling Career Chronicles Relics Triple #103 Dale Murphy bat card serial numbered to 10.

Cubs' Tyler Colvin hospitalized after hit by splintered bat

I hate the Cubs but I wouldn't wish this to happen. Plus I actually like this kid. Have a couple of his rookie cards.

Roy Oswalt 2005 Zenith Z-Bats #35

I still miss him.  What a great guy and player.  Roy Oswalt 2005 Zenith Z-Bats #35 game used bat.  Can't believe how cheap this card still is.  Sometimes I wonder why they call them game used bats when they were used by the pitcher.  We know they didn't actally use it to hit a ball.

1999 Bowman's Best Franchise Best Mach Derek Jeter

Can't remember how I got this since it was a while ago but it was probably in a trade.  Nothing great but it's still a nice card for my collection.  I've got a decent Jeter collection so there will be more to come.  1999 Bowman's Best Franchise Best Mach I #FB6 Derek Jeter.

My Day at the Astros game: 9-15-2010

We lost it in the 10th but I still had fun.  4 free tickets on the field level and since it was 1 o'clock start time I got to take a half day off work.

2001 SP Game Used Edition Authentic Fabric Tom Glavine

Who doesn't like this guy.  What a role model for the youngsters too.  I loved watching Tom pitch for many years.  He was a finesse pitcher so he didn't really have a chance to blowout his elbow his first year.  Very durable pitcher who was rarely on the disabled list.  If you have anything of Glavine you want to trade away, please let me know.  2001 SP Game Used Edition Authentic Fabric #TOG Tom Glavine.

2010 Topps Tribute Relics Black Evan Longoria

I keep on liking more and more Tampa Bay Rays. With their starting pitching they should be in the World Series again soon. Evan seems like a great guy in addition to having such good skills. 2010 Topps Tribute Relics Black #EL Evan Longoria game used jersy. Numbered to 50.

Topps Announces Red Hot Rookie Redemptions #8 Stephen Strasburg

Topps announces the player redeemable for the 2010 Topps Baseball Series 2 RED HOT ROOKIE Redemption # 8 is Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg.  My question is does anyone really care about this or not now that he his hurt?  Some will continue to hate but me for one will be buying some of his cards later when they really start to go down somemore.  There is no doubt the talent this kid has, but can he recover, that is the real question.  Here's to a successful and speedy recovery.

2002 Greats of the Game Through the Years Level 1 #12 Don Mattingly

Traded a card I've had for a while for this.  It was a prospect card from a few years and I don't think he's going to go anywhere.  On the other hand, this is a great card of one of my favorite players.  2002 Greats of the Game Through the Years Level 1 #12 Don Mattingly.  Nice little pinstripe too.

1999 Upper Deck Forte #F24 Barry Bonds

You can say what you want about the 90's baseball card era and the over production.  I really like most of the inserts that came out in those years before the GU/auto's started being in every box.  1999 Upper Deck Forte #F24 Barry Bonds.
