These are from 2009 and 2010. Just got these recently off of eBay. Topps Legends Commemorative Patches and Topps Inaugural Commemorative Patches. Cy Young, Reggie Jackson, Juan Marichal, Jim Palmer, & Mark Teixeira. I haven't been a big fan of manufactured patches but they are slowly growing on me.
WOW! Nice patch cards. I really hated getting rid of some of them because like you said they do grow on you. The patch cards with HOF players are the ones that jump on me. I believe you got all of the HOF players I had with the exception of three. I had Willie Stargell ($1.76), Al Kaline ($4.05), and Johnny Mize ($5.50). I was pleasantly surprise at the winning bids on a few of these cards. So, there is increase interest in them. I like them because they are a sub set for the budget collector. These cards, for the collectors that are not familiar with them, come from the 2009 and 2010 $20 blaster boxes found at retailers like Wal-Mart. There are 100 cards in the collection. The first 50 are from series 1 and last 50 from series 2. I would say that the more sought after cards are from the series 1 of Topps baseball. A complete set is probably possible, but I won't think could happen the old fashion way on a budget. So for the collectors that don't have the funds to lay down on a hobby box or for the ones that would prefer to get regular Topps from a regular outlet, this is a great sub set.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the purchase Again!
